Taj Rana

Taj Rana is a Professional Chartered Chemical Engineer and Project Manager whose career has focused on safely designing, building, operating and maintaining large-scale sustainable process plants and infrastructure around the world. Originally from the UK and now a long-time Singapore resident, he is currently working on an innovative national integrated waste-to-energy project that brings together waste water & solid recycling and recovery, and conversion of waste streams into valuable sustainable by-products and  energy, reducing the impact on the environment.

Taj strongly believes that education and its application are a key pillar of a fulfilling life. He is passionate about applying science and engineering solutions to real-world challenges and mentoring young engineers to fulfill their potential.

Together with his wife Mandip, Taj is deeply committed to supporting U-GO’s mission after being inspired by scholars’ stories at the 2025 Vietnam Summit. He is excited to contribute his international experience and sustainability perspective as a member of the U-GO Singapore Board.
