Thuy Vu Dropsey

Thuy Vu Dropsey is the Chief of Corporate Development & Strategic Finance at Vingroup, where she also serves as the Chief Representative of the Chairman’s Office for Strategic Partnerships. She is responsible for capital planning, capital raising, capital deployment and M&A, as well as developing strategic partnerships to support the group’s long-term growth.

Thuy brings over 20 years of experience across the US and Southeast Asia, with a focus on private equity and growth investments. She was previously a Managing Director and Co-Head of ASEAN at Affirma Capital in Singapore, where she served on the Investment Committee and represented the firm on the boards of several portfolio companies.

Thuy joined Standard Chartered Private Equity in 2016 as an Executive Director based in Hong Kong. Prior to that, she was Vice President at Lombard Investments, where she helped establish the Vietnam office and led investments and portfolio management in the country. Her earlier roles include positions at Mekong Capital in Vietnam and Bain Capital Credit in Boston. She began her career at Ernst & Young’s Asset Management group in Boston.

Thuy holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from Suffolk University in Boston.
